IN this 50th Anniversary year for CMA , I am reminded that it is always good to take inventory of where we have been , where we are , and how God led us to this point . Our vision becomes clearer on what God has been doing in our lives as we look back at the road God has led us down the last year , 5 years , 10 years , and earlier . Sometimes , we feel like nothing has changed and we are the same people we were when we first met God . The truth is that as we surrender our hearts and minds to God and ask Him to lead us , then follow that leading , there is no way we can remain the same . At salvation , we became a new creation in Christ . All things in us were made new , and now we are invited to walk out that truth as we invest in a daily relationship with our Savior . Maybe it is a good time for us all to take an inventory of where we are , the blessings of God , and the victories that have been won and celebrate them .
Fifty years ago , God birthed the ministry of CMA . He established structure and accountability . He

brought training and innovation . He gave us a vision to take the Gospel around the world through Run for the Son , thereby also fueling the tank for evangelism around the United States . He called many individuals to join with the vision of changing the world , one heart at a time . And while many have remained true to that calling , others have become disheartened and walked away . It is easy to get discouraged and become sidetracked . I know ; I have been there . The key is to refrain from making life-changing decisions when we are in that hard place . When we find ourselves there , questioning our purpose and the path forward , God reminds us to return to our first love , to seek Him first , to stop and look around and ask for His godly way , and then walk in it . I have found that when I take inventory and look back , I can see the hand of God working in my life , and my current circumstances or emotional state may have blinded me from seeing . It is in this place that I find the provision of God that restores my soul so that I can walk |
