REV β IT LOMBARD 3 let β s look at riding
TODAY , jeans . The Lombard 3 , to be specific . The first thing to get out of the way is , why not just wear regular jeans ? The main reason is protection in case of an accident . Motorcycling gear is about balancing risk with reward , and we all have different balance points when it comes to riding . Some riders never wear anything outside of regular street clothes , and others always demand all the gear . Most of us fall somewhere between and don β t mind compromising protection for comfort and blending in with the people around us . That is where riding jeans come in . They give more protection than your street jeans and blend into the people around you when off the bike . I have always had difficulty finding riding jeans that fit right on and off the bike . I was surprised when I tried on the REV β IT Lombard jeans . They fit just like my regular jeans and stay up when I am seated on the bike . It didn β t feel like motorcycling jeans at all . I was sold and took them home . I presently have ridden over a thousand miles in them and still love them . |
The biggest downside is the heat . They are hotter than regular jeans . One simple reason is that they are 15oz denim Cordura blended material , whereas most department store jeans are 10oz . The thicker material is naturally warmer . Next are the pockets for armor on the hips and knees that add more material and warmth to the jeans . Even without the armor in , they still add to the warmth . This is all part of the price for extra protection . The Lombard comes with hip and knee armor . The knee armor is adjustable to help put the armor where it belongs . The armor is thin and light so as not to add too much discomfort when moving around .
Now , on to the good stuff . They have a bit of stretch , so even though they are thick , they move with you , and the material is soft . Next are the deep pockets , which I love in any pair of jeans . So , you are less likely to lose stuff when riding . The jeans are extra-long and , as such , are meant to be β cuffed β since there is a reflective strip sewn to the inside of the jeans . You will see that in the video ( scan QR code to see video ), as well as the fit . I bought a size 34 , and it is just right

for comfort . The pant legs are a bit tapered but still fit over my cowboy boots . While in Australia , I wore them on and off the bike , while sightseeing , and had them while attending two motorcycle rallies . So , they are comfortable just walking around the vendors and looking at bikes . I have had a lot of compliments on them , as most think they are just jeans . Rayleen Wilson stopped in her tracks when she saw them and commented on how nice they looked . Retail is $ 229.99 , which isn β t bad in today β s economy . These may make someone a nice Christmas present .
