TCX BOOT ladies , I have
ALRIGHT , a gear review for you . It is a critical item that is needed every time you get on your bike or the back of your husband ’ s bike . Your shoes ! Now , I ride my own bike , so my review will include the traction you get moving your bike around on pavement and gravel . I ’ m not a super fashionable gal , but I do like to have “ cool ” shoes , so that will be a factor that we consider as well . We must also consider safety , functionality in all seasons , and comfortability . The boots that I am reviewing are the TCX Blend WP Women ’ s Boots . Here is the description of the boot from Revzilla . com ( which is where I bought them ). They say it much better than I could :
“ Ditch those tired ol ' Docs and get yourself a pair of real motorcycle boots . The TCX Blend Boots for Women do just what its name
|
implies : blend style and protection into a comfortable all-rounder that can be worn on or off the bike . Full grain vintage leather combined with a waterproof lining and reinforcements in the ankles and heels gives you uncompromised comfort and safety , while retaining the vintage combat boot look that has been popular since , well .... forever .”
In the past , I have worn all sorts of different shoes . I have Harley Boots and riding shoes . Unfortunately , they are either too heavy or do not have good traction , or if I wear the riding shoes all day , my back hurts . I have worn Converse , but you lack good traction and safety , and they get sopping wet in the rain . So I began looking for a “ cool ” looking boot that would check off all of the boxes . These TCX boots do just that .
Right out of the box , they were super comfy . They are light ; I can wear them all day , and my back
|
doesn ’ t hurt . They look awesome , and the more you wear them , the “ cooler ” they look . They have a waterproof lining , and I have tested that feature more than once , and my feet have remained dry . They work great in the winter , too . I can wear a thicker boot sock and stay warm anywhere in the southeast . They have a high wear-resistant rubber sole with a unique vintage look that gives you great traction when moving your bike around ( plus the 1.37 ” heel helps too ). The reinforced ankle and internally reinforced heel and toe make them a really safe choice .
I purchased these boots from Revzilla , and they were $ 199.99 with free shipping . I ordered a size European 40 , a US size 8 . The website and some of the reviews said they ran big , but I ordered true to size , and they are perfect . They have been well worth the money , and I plan to order another pair when these wear out . They are very functional boots both on and off the bike . They have a classic look that will never grow old . It is nice to own a pair of biking boots made for women that look cool , have great functionality , and feel like you have worn them forever from the second you put them on ! Happy riding . CMA
