The Lord has faithfully blessed the ministry of CMA , continuing to give us the opportunity to carry out our calling to share the Good News about Jesus to the motorcyclists of our world . The need for Jesus in the motorcycling culture has never been more critical . In light of the days we live in , it ’ s time to accelerate into the calling Christ has before us .

VCGP 2021 trophy . Dan stopped to rest at one of the stops , and he unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack . In the words of Dawna , she knows that he was a very happy man because he was doing what he absolutely loved . He was 54 years old and had a special relationship with the Lord and all who knew him .
While tragic , and life-changing for all who have been involved in this process , this story does not end there . Through a myriad of connections with the VCGP staff , Nevada

Daniel Lee Heller , Race # 136 7 / 26 / 1967 – 10 / 24 / 2021
CMA , and California CMA , our CMA Family (# CMAFamily , SOR 2018 ) joined together to assist Dawna in retrieving his motorcycle and other equipment , returning it to Santa Rosa , while helping to provide emotional , mental , and spiritual support .
The organizers of the VCGP retired Dan ’ s race number # 136 at the 2022 race in April to honor him . Dawna had an opportunity to speak to the racers , their family , and the race fans before the Saturday and Sunday events . Her unique opportunity was to speak to them directly as one biker to another (# Biker2Biker , SOR 2021 ). Dawna set up photographs and memorabilia at the Nevada CMA booth during the event and shared her story with anyone who stopped by . During this event , Dawna brought great honor to Dan ’ s memory and shared the mission of CMA (# MissionTrue , SOR 2020 ).
Through all of this heartbreak and pain , we know that Dan may not have received a 2021 VCGP trophy for his ride in that race , but we know that he received his eternal reward that day as he finished THIS race . “ I have fought the good fight , I have finished the race , I have kept the faith ” ( 2 Timothy 4:7 , NIV ). Together for 30 years , Dawna said that Dan loved to live life and lived life to love . Dan was an extraordinary man , and he will be missed forever .
