“ Wow !”

really sums up my perspective of the new CMA web project in one word ! I wish that each of you could see all of the minute details that have to be considered and addressed as we work to complete the new CMA web portal . I really thought that the project implementation team , of which I am a part , would start this project and open up a new site to our members in a little over a year . I have learned that the ministry organization of CMA is complex ! So many decisions are required for so many differing conditions . These are dependent on who is accessing the new web portal and what they are trying to do . The great news is that we are working really hard to make sure that YOU can just access the website and do what you need and want to do as effortlessly as possible . I still stand on my belief that what we are working to deliver will make your transactions with CMA much better than they are today . We are also building on new design and technology foundations that position CMA for rapid future growth .
My last update informed you that we had to change payment card
processors . We have now partnered with a new company and are currently in the final phases of onboarding certification with them . I expect that element of the site to be completed before year-end 2020 .
We are currently expecting a code release for Iron Mountain Reservations Administration . This puts us about in the middle of Phase 4 of 5 of the overall project . A handful of Administration-related items remain and then we will begin Phase 5 work . Phase 5 is the CMA organization field-facing aspects of the project . Reporting , Forms , Chapter , and International pages are included in this final phase . My expectations are that Phase 5 will be completed in a much shorter time than Phases 3 and 4 required .
What is the release date that you can expect to log into the new site ? I don ’ t have the month and day , BUT I can tell you with certainty that the year is 2021 ! I ask for your continued patience for just a little longer . I also ask for your continued prayers for the web project design and implementation team . The CMA staff and volunteers working on this project are still putting in some long , hard hours to make sure
that we deliver a website that helps you and also honors and glorifies God .
Since we are getting closer to the site launch date , I want to inform you that the site is designed to deal with individuals . This is different from the current site . The new site requires the user to log in and each member will need his or her own distinct email address – a shared address will NOT work . We will have spousal links in the database to tie related functionality together but each spouse will need their own email address . Yahoo and Gmail are examples of two services that offer free email accounts if you need to create one . Many Internet service providers also offer some email addresses for each customer account . I encourage you to make sure that YOU have your own email address and that the correct address is recorded in our Support Center database records for your account . You will need this to be in place so that you can successfully register and log in to the new site when we release it as soon as we can in 2021 . CMA
