CMA Latvia Chartered in 2011, National President Zigmars Atvars shares how his journey began with a simple desire:
In 2008, I felt in my heart the desire to get together Christians who love to ride the bike. So, through social media and other channels, I invited Christians from Latvia who would like to ride together to join for a meeting because before that, we did not have organized Christian moto group. When we came together, we felt the need to see what other Christian moto groups were doing. We found some contacts in counties nearer and further from us.
We sent out different requests, including to CMA, and got the response from the CMA office. We decided to join CMA, and now – after 17 years of ministry in CMA, I can say that was a very good decision.
For every person, the fellowship is important because we all are looking for people with the same values and soul desires. Some will raise your spirit up or tear it down. Only believers can see not just physical but also spiritual issues in every situation. It is important that we are not afraid to share our praises, and prayer needs to other Christian bikers.
CMA Bulgaria Chartered in 2013, National President Danail Georgiev shares how God led him on the search for something more and asked him to step out of his comfort zone:
When I started riding a motorcycle, I initially rode with non- Christian friends. However, our interests and values were so different that I quickly realized I wasn’ t in the right place. I knew I needed to find a Christian biker group to ride with. Since no such group existed in Bulgaria at the time, I decided to start one.
I reached out to several Christian motorcycle organizations abroad. Of all the groups I contacted, only CMA responded. At first, I was intimidated by the organization ' s requirements. I feared I might not be able to meet all the expectations and that I would ultimately disappoint CMA. I shared my concerns with my pastor, who encouraged me to move forward. He reminded me that if God had placed this desire in my heart, I should pursue it.
Today, I’ m happy to be part of the world’ s largest Christian motorcyclists ' evangelistic organization. I ' m grateful to be doing what God has called me to do- sharing the Gospel with my non- Christian friends while enjoying something I love: riding a motorcycle. It’ s a joy to answer His call and be part of this amazing family, CMA, riding for the Son.
The common thread in these stories is that each man simply made himself available to Godβ€” and God did the rest. They didn’ t feel qualified. They didn’ t have perfect resumes or polished ministry plans. But they said yes.
Maybe that’ s where you are. You may have questioned whether what you have is enough. Let this encourage you: God is not asking for perfectionβ€” He ' s asking for willingness. He equips those He calls. He meets us in our lack and
uses us in ways we never imagined.
As we walk into this new season of ministry, may we fix our eyes on Him. Let’ s not lean on our own understanding but trust that He is doing something new. Are you ready to step out of the comfort boat and walk on water with us? It will take faith. It might be scary. But it will be worth it. CMA
