RFS TIP IS there room for complacency and self-satisfaction in the Christian life ? Is a person imprisoned by the status quo with no hope or escape for improvement or change ? In the summer of 2022 at the Utah State Rally , the RFS 2022 numbers were being reported for each chapter and our chapter did not have much of an impact . The King ’ s Crusaders as a group were challenged to improve our efforts and find ways to serve the community and raise more money for RFS ; collectively as a chapter we needed to map out a plan to improve this situation and set a goal for RFS 2023 . We could have made excuses , blamed someone else , used our circumstances as a defense , or we could seek the Lord for guidance and inspiration ; our father owns cattle on a thousand hills ( Psalm 50:10-12 ) and we have not because we do not ask according to His will ( James 1:5 ).

Our next meeting was in August 2022 , and normally we would wait until much later in the year to start discussing RFS , we were convicted by the Holy Spirit to make some changes concerning our efforts for RFS 2023 . We started with prayer and seeking the Lord for inspiration and wisdom for ways to raise

WHEN INSPIRATION MEETS PERSPIRATION money and glorify His name . Our Area Reps were very supportive and provided guidance and encouragement concerning our convictions and plans for the changes that we needed to make for our process . Our chapter president made a personal challenge for individual giving , and we committed to collective fundraisers to achieve our goal of 5K for 2023 . This was a big number for us and the unity in the chapter was refreshing ; the excitement of trusting the Lord and knowing that everything would require His blessing if we were going to make our goal and be a blessing to RFS . We started with a fundraiser where we cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for our local churches annual Harvest Outreach ; we did not charge a fee for the refreshments , but we trusted the Lord by making the donation optional and anyone was welcome to eat and fellowship at the event .
We raised $ 1,500 and the church was very thankful for our service , food , and games . We raised money with marathon sponsorship for runners , we raised money through sales and donations ; it is interesting how God will move people to give while you are working on serving and being a blessing to others , and

Region 4 Alan & Pam Morris 870-598-4006 we received another $ 1,500 from donations . When we finally reached May 6th , 2023 , we called in $ 5,400 as our donation and it was a call of humility and gratitude to the Lord for His inspiration and guidance in helping us the entire journey from beginning to end .
I believe that when you have a relationship with the eternal and self-existent God Almighty and He is your Lord and Savior , you will align your desires with His will and there isn ’ t anything that you can ’ t do for His glory . In many ways we are just spectators watching the Lord work His will in and around our lives ; the Lord graciously allows us the privilege to participate in His work and to glorify Him with our service ( Isaiah 43:20-21 ). I believe that prayer is discovering His will for what He wants from us as individuals and collectively as a group of believers or a CMA chapter ( 1 John 5:13-15 ). I am personally the most satisfied in my existence when I am exhausted in His work and fulfill the only reason for me being created in my mother ’ s womb , and that is to glorify the Lord with my time , talents , and resources ( 1 Peter 2:9 ).
