MISTY

Bradley serves as the CMA HeartBeat Editor and Social Media Coordinator at the Support Center in Hatfield, Arkansas. Before working at CMA, Misty grew up around CMA, attended rallies, and, with her husband, helped lead worship at Youth Movement events alongside YM Evangelists Jerod and Jennifer McPherson. She originally planned to teach junior high English and was finishing her teaching degree at Henderson State University. All along the way, she prayed for guidance about her career and her family’ s future. A friend from church, who worked at CMA, suggested she apply for an open position in the Events Department. She always hoped to work for a ministry like CMA, and in April 2007, her prayers were answered when she was hired as the Events Assistant. Like most at the Support Center, she wore many hats, working in finance, event registration, leadership processing, chapter chartering, proofreading, and social media management. With her background in English and writing, Misty often said she would love to work in the HeartBeat Department if the opportunity arose.
Misty is just one story of the impact donations to the general fund make in supporting the National / International Support Center. General donations and the sale of Goodies fund the operations and maintenance at CMA National as well as provide for the maintenance and upkeep of our Iron Mountain facilities.
Above all, we want to thank you for your continued faithfulness to the ministry of CMA. Through your generosity, we are able to support evangelistic outreach to the motorcycling community worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 2012, she got that opportunity and became the HeartBeat Editor. She also serves as the Social Media Coordinator, planning and scheduling posts for Facebook and Instagram, and responding to messages and comments. Most days have one to three posts; rallies require additional posts to accommodate reminders and livestream links. Facebook and Instagram followers will continue to see weekly posts, including Events, Goodies, Throwback Thursday, and Support Center Updates. Misty also proofs all printed materials, media, and garments produced by CMA.
Misty’ s vision for the HeartBeat is to continue providing an encouraging evangelical ministry tool that appeals to members and nonmembers alike and grow it into a publication people love to share and pass along. Her goal is to honor God in the ministry and in all that she puts her hand to. She enjoys the challenge of the job and the fact that there is daily exposure to the Word of God while verifying scripture texts and quotes. Not to mention the wisdom, advice, and encouragement that can be gleaned from reading the various articles multiple times during the proofing process.
She is excited by this new series of department feature articles for 2026, hoping they will be informative and encouraging to you, the members. If you haven’ t noticed in the previous two issues, we are highlighting the different departments, personnel, and what they do every day to support you, the members of CMA, as you go out into the highways and byways to compel the lost to come to Jesus.
We hope you read last month’ s article entitled Legendary Layout, where we followed the dizzying path, the HeartBeat takes through the Support Center. This month, we want to highlight the Editor’ s role in this process. Misty is the hub of this operation as the HeartBeat material originates from her office and returns after each step in this quality control cycle.
The HeartBeat runs two months in advance, so it is imperative that Misty set and adhere to strict schedules for staff writers, evangelists, and other submitters. She must constantly juggle several months of submitted material while collecting articles, searching files, and receiving writings from evangelists and staff. She then sorts the material and selects the articles for that month’ s publication. When she has all the material collected and organized, the raw articles begin their journey through the proofing team, come back to Misty to make the suggested edits and corrections, then she collects
