dering , β€œ What do I pack , and how best can I take everything I want to take ?” That is the question the Evangelist Wives have asked themselves many times . So , with that in mind , we would like to share our tips , tricks , and packing suggestions :
Know your bag , how to pack it , and what ’ s in it ! Always return items to the same place so that you can retrieve them quickly . Compression bags ( zipper type , vacuum type , or zip lock bag type ) help pack items tighter and stay more organized . The more organized you can pack , the more you ’ ll be able to fit in it . These also fit nicely in your side boxes on the bike and can hold a weekend ’ s worth of clothes . Multi-sized dry bags , a spare dry bag for extra stuff , and mini-dry bags for saddlebag items ( saddlebags tend to leak ) are invaluable . Velcro cable ties help secure your power cords . Small backpacks or drawstring bags can be used as a purse , laundry bags , shopping bags , overnight bags , etc . Leave your main wallet at home , and bring only your driver ’ s license , insurance cards , credit cards , or cash . Cross-body purses with straps that extend or shorten are easy to wear around your neck and shoulder . Multi-function is best for wallets , cell phone cases , keys , cards , coins , and ministry items .
CMA Toiletry bag for all your bathroom items . One bag to grab and go . Microfiber towels and washcloths . They pack small and dry quickly . Repackage liquid items in smaller leak-proof bottles and place them in sealed bags to avoid leaks . Therma Cell curling iron runs on butane cartridges for camping , mission trips , or no electricity . Collapsible coat hangers for drying items . For jewelry , run your necklaces through a straw for tangle-free travel , or use jewelry soft travel cases . Travel refillable perfume spray bottles for those hot days when you need a refresh .
Riding pants , full chaps , or half chaps depending on the weather . They offer protection , keep you clean , and look good . ( Gear Review coming !) Roll clothes to get more in there , plus they don ’ t seem to get as wrinkled . Extra pair of shoes that can be manipulated into tight spaces and are comfortable when you need to get your boots off . Flip flops for public showers . Lycra yoga pants for an extra layer or midnight runs to the toilet . Dress in layers for warmth . Gloves : a few different pairs for different weather .
Count the number of days out and take that number of socks , underwear , and shirts , two pairs of pants β€” plan on doing laundry if out longer than five days .
Always put your phone and cord in the same safe place every time !!
After a trip , analyze what you took and try to take less next time . Learn not to over-pack clothes , toiletries , and the extra wants you don ’ t need .
Consider taking Emergen-C vitamin drink mix , other antioxidants , and B vitamins . It is an excellent way to help keep your immune system boosted . Drink holder and water bottle that seals . HYDRATE always !!
