STURGIS THANK YOU I wanted to mention how nice it was that one of your chapters provided water , cleaning cloths , and prayers at a fuel stop on our way to Sturgis . We really appreciated it . I ' m sorry , but I don ' t remember which state we were in when we stopped . God bless and thank you .

HERE IF YOU NEED US I begin this note to say praise the Lord ! We recently were told a dear friend of ours was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer . She lives in Minot , North Dakota , and has been in the hospital for about two weeks . She had been very down with fear . We knew we could not make the trip from Arkansas , so we reached out to the Shekinah Riders # 144 of North Dakota . Their vice president was there the same day , sharing the hope of Jesus and His promises to those who accept Him as Lord and Savior . She did not have a Bible with her , so he brought her one and shared scriptures and the Lord ' s encouragement . I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to know that the Lord has brought so many brothers and sisters in Christ together into the Christian Motorcyclists Association , where we are truly " here if you need us ." Thank you so much , Mike Huff , for letting the Lord lead you .

SERVICE CAN BE FUN Recently I had the opportunity to volunteer with CMA at the Northern California IMS . In addition to working the helmet and gear check tent , I assisted in a handful of bike blessings . I have not done this before , and I was happy to be pulled out of my comfort zone . It was such a blessing .
When I was not volunteering , I could do demo rides on all types of bikes . It became a joke with my fellow CMA ’ ers how many rides I could squeeze into the weekend ( 9 was the total )! In addition , free camping was made available for us , and I enjoyed the Christian fellowship with members from other chapters . So , next time you are asked to serve , think of how much fun it can be .
