Many shops sell anything from antiques and art to candy and souvenirs , making this a family-friendly destination .
Many of the old school bikers like to hang out and party with their friends in Virginia City during the event . This location holds true to many biker traditions , including cruises up and down the main street of the historic town .
CMA ’ ers can start their day at the CMA booth in Reno , working a shift or just getting a feel for this rally , then ride the 26 miles to
Virginia City for lunch . One popular location to eat is The Red Dog Saloon . This is a popular hang-out for the community , serving sandwiches , wings , and pizza . Since this is a hectic time for the restaurant , while waiting for food , it ’ s easy to strike up a conversation with someone new to you , and there might even be an opportunity to share Jesus .
After lunch , it ’ s only a 15-mile ride into Carson City . CMA ’ ers have the opportunity to volunteer to work an afternoon shift at the CMA
booth there . The participants at this location are guaranteed to be different than the previous two locations , and you are sure to find new ministry opportunities here .
On Sunday morning , don ’ t just pack up and head for home . If you can stay a little longer , a CMA Biker Service is held on one of the stages in the Neon Line District in Reno . As is customary , the service will include great music and a brief salvation message .

Directions for Ride from Reno to Virginia City Start from the Sands Regency parking lot at 345 North Arlington Avenue near downtown Reno . Head east on W 4th Street to North Center Street . Turn left on North Center Street . Continue on North Center Street to I-80 East . Proceed on I-80 East and merge on to I-580 South . Take I-580 south to exit 25B Virginia Street South . From Virginia Street , take a left turn to NV-341 . Follow 341 to Virginia City . 341 will become C Street . in Virginia City . The Red Dog Saloon is located at 76 N C Street .
Directions from Virginia City to Carson City Leaving Virginia City , take NV342 out of town through the historic towns of Gold Hill and Silver City . NV342 will hook up again with NV341 . On your left , you will pass by the Chocolate Nugget Candy Factory , a stop worth making !
Turn west onto HWY 50 and proceed to Carson City . When you reach I-580 again , take it south through Carson City to the end and turn left at HWY 395 . Travel HWY 395 for ¾ of a mile and turn right onto Jacks Valley Road . Turn left into the Target parking lot . Carson City Motorsports will be on your left .
