Dear Fellow Members,
Whether you are in Naples or visiting your northern communities, we hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. Over the past few months, the planning process for the clubhouse renovation project has proceeded on schedule. As communicated in our April Monthly Update, we are working with a wonderful professional team including Don Garrett Construction (General Contractor), McWard Architects, and RLH Design (Interiors).
On the following pages, you will find a summary of the project scope, our progress to date, the project challenges, and the next steps. A great deal of time, thought, and careful planning have been dedicated to this project. We are ever-mindful of the budget goals but are attempting to balance those considerations with our commitment to deliver a clubhouse renovation that meets your expectations.
I would like to extend a special thanks to Kathy Mabry and Daryl Dulaney for their participation in all of the construction meetings and a very special thanks to the Interior Committee: Carol Bennett, Chris Earls, John Kempfer, MK McDonald, and Sue Nassar. This team, along with our Treasurer Dave Bupp has tackled many challenges and has shown exceptional commitment to the clubhouse planning and design process.
The information contained in this update is based on Garrett's June estimated project budget. Over the next month we will have firm bids for the project. We expect there will be challenging decisions regarding the project scope after we receive the September bids. We look forward to presenting the details of the clubhouse project and budget at the Mid-Year meeting on November 11th.
