CLUB PENGUIN ISLAND HAS BEGUN ... A FEW DAYS AGO
By now, everybody knows what has happened to Club Penguin, both old and new. In fact, I don't even need to explain it, but for those who live under a rock, March 29th marked the end of Club Penguin.
It was a sad day for millions of penguins who played sinced 2005, including me, St Ransor.
But was it right for them to shut it down? Many people say, ''yes, because many people now play on their mobile devices.'' Other, perhaps newer players may speak otherwise. In my opinion, I think it was right for Club Penguin to shut down, because they were losing quite a number of players, so a quick action had to be done. But many people disagree.
Ever since Club Penguin shut down on March 29th, another gameplay in the exact replica of Club Penguin itself opened and now has over 100 00 users. The gameplay is famously known as ''Club Penguin Rewritten'' which like I said before, has over 100 00 players. It's not necessarily a private server like CPPS.me, though I can't specify the differences.
Club Penguin Rewritten is based on what everybody calls 'Old CP', which is probably Club Penguin just before Disney bought it. The game is especially good for nostalgic penguins.
Club Penguin Rewritten, however is not the only replica - there's also Club Penguin Reborn that has a recreation of bits of Club Penguin.
When Club Penguin Island first opened, many users weren't happy with the new changes. Recently, a hashtag popped up #notmyclubpenguin around social media, with users protesting against the new Club Penguin.
