Arizona, the “Grand Canyon State,”
features towering peaks, sandstone
canyons, forested mountains, vast deserts
and is home to more parks and national
monuments than any other state.
The peaceful community of Chandler, home of “Rawhide” with its Wild West
shootouts, shotgun weddings, wagon rides, gold panning, and burro rides is just 25
miles southeast of Phoenix and a convenient hub from which to visit Arizona’s many
diverse attractions. The warm, dry desert climate is perfect for golf, tennis, hiking,
bicycling and horseback riding year-round. Wonderful weather makes this an ideal
year-round vacation destination.
Day trips to Sedona and the Oak Creek Canyon offer spectacular scenery with
ancient massive rock formations rising from the desert floor. Tucked into the red rocks in
an amphitheater is a magical outdoor venue where musicians perform under the wide
open starlit sky. The scenic, winding road through Oak Creek Canyon leads to the
Grand Canyon, one of the world’s great wonders.
