We encourage students to become a part of clubs and organizations to enrich their middle school experience . Students who do participate must complete a form granting permission from parents / guardians . With participation in these activities comes responsibility . For example , when students participate in these activities , they are representing Smitha not only on campus , but also in some instances in the community ; therefore , students who violate the District ’ s Student Code of Conduct policies or experience significant academic difficulty are subject to a probationary period with their membership or students may be prohibited from participation .
