Coastal Pointscore Series
f The Coastal Pointscore Series sees a variety of long offshore races conducted along the east coast of Australia between September and April . Each race is unique and offers crew the opportunity to develop their navigational , weather and boatmanship skills .
f Races may have a destination finish , like Coffs Harbour , Newcastle , Port Stephens or Bird Island or return back to Pittwater .
f The race format covers a wide range of conditions in a variety of courses between 18 and 630 nautical miles . ( Category 3 events ).
f Race starting times vary depending on the event destination .
Two Handed Sailing
f The majority of club series offer Two Handed racing options .
f The racing format can include both Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker , around the cans racing inshore on Pittwater , and offshore events .
f There are a number of Regatta events that also offer exclusive Two Handed Divisions .
WINTER PROGRAM
Wednesday Waterford Series
f The Wednesday Waterford Series is scheduled throughout the winter months . Wednesday races are fun , social and competitive .
f The racing format is Non-Spinnaker , around the cans ( fixed and or laid marks ) inshore on Pittwater .
f Race starting time : from 1400hrs .
Lion Island Saturday Series
f The Lion Island Series is a fun , social and interclub event held each Saturday during May . It is characterised by boats sailing around the famous Lion Island .
f Crews and guests return to Halyards Bistro & Bar post-racing for a fun social get-together and the weekly presentation .
f The racing format includes both Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker , around the cans and racing on Pittwater and Broken Bay
f Race starting time : from 1200hrs .
