Experience at Center for Integrated Development (CID) changed a lot in me which is difficult to jot down in words. Prior to CID, just like another ordinary person, I felt bad for little kids who begged on road and laboured and earned. I felt sad for the children who are abused, who could not get a proper education. I felt bad for suffering women and helpless labour class like carpet weavers and bidi makers, whose rights were violated. Like any ordinary person who do not suffer any such hardship, I felt bad for every such individual who could not enjoy their right. But when I connected with the organization, I realized how superficial our concerns are. We never actually understood their problem, their suffering, its consequences. It is important to understand that they don't want us to feel bad for them or pity them. They want a helping hand, can that be yours?- that is the question.

The initiative must come from you for the change you want to see. It is not possible to dream a nation, where there is awareness of one's rights, their enforcement, where there is no poverty, where every individual is educated and thinks on the rational line if, you have not taken any initiatives for this. It is important to see what one has done, apart from living his life for his family, for himself, for his circle. What have you done, apart from the big talks?

CID works for the different sections of the society, reaching out to them, telling them that there is a solution. CID is being the helping hand that they need. The smile on their face, when they get to know that there is a way, is worth all the efforts. Experience at CID taught me that the world is not bound by four walls, it is beyond them. Everyone's smile counts, everyone has the right to happiness, can you help them so that their right cannot be infringed?
