Halloween Parade
Downtown | Morrison , IL
Held the Saturday before Halloween , hundreds of Ghouls , Goblins , Princesses , Witches , Super Heroes and more converge on downtown Morrison . Line-up for the parade begins at Community State Bank with the parade proceeding down Main Street to the Post Office . All participants receive treat bags and prizes are awarded for best costumes . First Saturday of January . The U . S . Army Corps of Engineers , U . S . Fish & Wildlife Service and Clinton Community College co-host a free special Eagle Watch Day during peak season on the upper Mississippi River . Visitors will enjoy outdoor eagle viewing at Lock & Dam 13 . Eagle seminars , wildlife exhibits and children ’ s activities are held at Clinton Community College throughout the day . Municipal Transit Administration shuttles visitors from the college to the viewing area .

First Saturday in February . This 4-mile run / walk celebrated its 30th year in 2001 . Approximately 1,000 people participate in this annual event . Highlights include a spread of free food following the race , free post-race party , door prizes and specially-designed medals to the winners in 13 age categories .
