Clinton fourth-grader redesigns local airport , places in FAA ' s Airport Design Challenge

While other fourthgraders were learning about the life cycle of plants or how to identify equivalent fractions last year , 10-yearold Elijah Craft was re-designing Clinton Municipal Airport .
His efforts landed him third place in the K-6 Non-Primary Airport category of the Federal Aviation Administration ’ s Airport Design Challenge . He was among nearly 2,900 other students from 18 different countries competing in the challenge .
