Dear Colleagues,
Dear Colleagues,
Across Renown Health and our broader provider community, we share a responsibility to ensure patients in northern Nevada have access to high-quality, timely care. That work depends on strong collaboration, and I want to thank each of you for the partnership and trust that make it possible.
Over the past year, we have made meaningful progress in expanding services and strengthening the care continuum across our region. We have introduced new capabilities, including ECMO, kidney transplant, urology and surgical oncology, while also achieving Level II Pediatric Trauma designation. These advancements reflect our shared commitment to bringing more specialized care closer to home.
This issue of Clinical Connections highlights several ways these advancements are translating into improved care for patients today. Our movement disorders program continues to expand, with an emphasis on early diagnosis and coordinated, multidisciplinary management that supports better outcomes and quality of life for patients and families. At the same time, emerging therapies and innovations are broadening treatment options for complex conditions, including radiopharmaceutical therapy and advancements in neuroendocrine tumor care, as well as renal denervation for patients with resistant hypertension.
Behavioral health and substance use disorder remain critical priorities for Nevadans. The Renown Crisis Care Center is increasing access to immediate evaluation and stabilization, while our addiction medicine services continue to expand support for patients navigating recovery. These efforts are designed to complement the care you provide and strengthen coordination across settings.
We are also continuing to invest in pediatric care, including growth in pediatric gastroenterology and the NICU Bridge Clinic, which supports children and families following critical care stays.
Our continued collaboration as an academic health system, through our affiliation with The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, is also strengthening clinical training, research and care delivery across the region.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on advancing clinical excellence, expanding access and growing the next generation of providers through continued investment in graduate medical education, including new residency programs.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for the care you provide to our community every day. Wishing you the best of health,
Brian Erling, MD, MBA President & CEO, Renown Health Brian. Erling @ renown. org
