How does climate change affect plants?
Global warming affects plants on the surface and underwater life. It is altered by global warming. The high temperatures will decrease the amount of rain, so the growth of plants and trees on the surface are going to decrease. This will cause droughts and many plants will start to die. The shifts in temperatures will result in plants growing in ecosystems where they normally wouldn’t. Many plants can’t adapt to the new climate and in result they often can’t reproduce. This will lead to some types of plants becoming extinct. In water it’s similar, the temperature of water will prevent the underwater plant life from thriving and reproducing. For plants to become extinct the temperatures will have to get very high. Plants may die easier because of the dryness. Dried out grass will be a lot more common. Overall, the planet's soil is going to be less rich of nutrients because of the amount of sun it gets.
