I’d started to wonder if I’d ever get the chance
to deliver a best man’s speech; only to be asked
to deliver one as a male bridesmaid? That, right
there sums up the relationship I have with Olivia,
we’ve always been quirky, never quite as we ought
to behave and it’s been the finest friendship of my
life.
Going back all those years in my mind reads as a
collection of my happiest memories and funniest moments, maybe in private I’ll share a few of
them with you later when Ican blame drink and
deny all knowledge believably?
Looking around me, at friends and family, it’s no
surprise we’ve all enjoyed their big day, this many
good and kind peope in one room is what we all
wish for I suppose and I’m sure I’m not the only
one who’s throat feels a bit choked up right now?
Today is all about the celebration of a new partnership, after three happy years engaged, John and
Olivia are finally married, and that’s just exactly
how the story should read too - I don’t think I’ve
ever met two better matched people and I’m sure
you’ll all join me in raising a glass to toast Olivia
and John as we wish them love, happiness and
togetherness.
