One plan, many styles Garage 6.3 x 6 One plan, many styles – our Ready to Build plans offer great flexibility for home builders and are particularly helpful if you’re a first-timer. These architecturally inspired designs will stand the test of time and you can build them as is or use the floor plan as a thought starter and alter to suit – add a room, move the living area/garage, extend the outdoor space etc. The only limitation is, if you make too many changes, sometimes it is easier to start from scratch, and we can Design & Build you a house to fit your needs and budget. Here are some examples of the same floor plan, our Lakeside design, executed in different ways, completely changing the look and feel of the overall home design and floor plan. Exterior includes weatherboard and plaster combination cladding for a modern yet timeless Central Otago look. CONTEMPORARY The flat roof with parapets offers a more modern cubic option, without detracting from the pavilion layout and retaining the feel of interior spaciousness. This is an increasingly trendy look. TRADITIONAL Utilising the same pavilion layout, this more traditional variation has removed the raking window to give the plan a more classic look. The home is still clad in weatherboards, but now features a gable or hip roofline, with window facings and sills – a look that is typically popular of country set homes. MONO-PITCH A contemporary approach to the Lakeside plan, the mono-pitched roofline of the main pavilion has been utilised to create a style popular with 1960s modernism architecture. The exterior style features vertical board and battens, with smooth stucco cladding. Stack bond blocks in the chimney and portico pillars complete the look. 17
