SCORPION - DRAKE Drake never fails to deliver on anything that he releases . Scorpion is the summary that Drake fans have been waiting to hear since its illicit mention on More Life ’ s closing track , “ Do Not Disturb .” Featuring a diverse group of artists such as Jay-Z , Ty Dolla $ ign , and Michael Jackson , the double album explores both Drake ’ s rap and R & B identities , with each track being significant to the feel of each side . We are reminded of his nostalgic Thank Me Later flow on “ 8 out of 10 ” while we contemplate texting that one old flame to the slow reminiscence of “ Jaded .” Scorpion also successfully experimented with the sounds of New Orleans bounce music , bringing us some of our favorite radio hits including “ Nice for What ” and “ In My Feelings ”.

Overall , the production on Scorpion was flawless and the delivery was sharp . Scorpion displayed how many layers a person could have , and also proved that Drake has the ability to express every layer within himself as a person and an artist . Pulling in one billion streams within its first week , double platinum eligibility prior to release , and a viral challenge created by social media comedian Shiggy , it ’ s no surprise that the album was at the top of the charts for weeks straight .
