I enjoyed reading your recent article on soprano Christiane Karg . I was introduced to her singing when I heard her sing Susannah in Lyric ’ s ( 2014 ) production of The Marriage of Figaro a couple of years ago … and I was hooked from the first aria ... I was happy to learn she would be returning to the Lyric again this season , along with a performance at Harris Theater to boot , and I am definitely planning to hear her again .
This time , thanks to you , I ’ ll do it with greater insight into her career and her life .

Shout Out for Chicago Film
I am a three-time subscriber to Clef Notes , so I hope you won ’ t find it too presumptuous for me to make a suggestion for the magazine ’ s cultural almanac table in the back of the book … Chicago ’ s profile as a film town is growing by leaps and by bounds each year . I would love to see a section on local film screenings in the magazine ’ s listings … With the Siskel Film Center and Music Box Theater chipping in with dynamic programming , I believe a recurring film preview similar to the ones you give for art , music and theater is not only warranted but would be a substantial addition to your almanac .

Guide Love
I was gifted with a subscription to Clef Notes Journal last year , and I must tell you how much I love this publication !… I received the fall preview edition ( The Guide Issue ), and was blown away by the sheer size of the preview you give . I have never seen any other season guide like it in the city in all my years here ...
Thank you so much for what you do for Chicago arts !
