Painting the city
Gorgeous murals and architecture can be seen all across the city of Cleburne. While there are several art galleries, you can also see art just by walking through the city.
The outside wall of Bennett’ s Printing showcases a welcome to historic Cleburne with city information and the Cleburne High School Yellow Jacket logo. Stop by 210 S. Main St. to take a selfie with the huge Wings At the Shop. Our Place Restaurant in downtown Cleburne has beautiful murals both inside and outside the building. Visit The Painted Rose at 111 S.
Caddo St. to view some of their art.
There are also several statues and monuments that showcase the history of our great city. The Confederate Memorial Arch stands on the edge of the Cleburne Memorial Cemetery in honor of the Confederate soldiers buried in the cemetery.
A six-foot statue of General Patrick Cleburne stands at the intersection between Buffalo and Chambers streets. Nearby there is a life-sized buffalo statue, appropriately located next to Buffalo Creek on Buffalo Street. The statue represents the American buffalo and bison that roamed in huge herds across the Great Plains. The animals watered on Buffalo Creek as they traveled through Cleburne.

JN Long is also proud to be the home of the Cleburne Arts Festival, one of the area’ s premier celebrations of art and culture, as well as several community organizations including the Johnson County Art Guild, Cleburne Camera Club, Cleburne Farmers Market and Advance Pro Wrestling. In addition to arts programming, the center provides affordable space for community groups, meetings, performances, celebrations, and educational programs, making it a true community gathering place where creativity, culture and connection come together.
