New businesses continue to open in Cleburne . 2020 saw the openings of Chickfil-A , McAlister ’ s Deli , Harbor Freight Tools and more . Work continues to attract retail and restaurants to Cleburne Station , which surrounds The Depot , home of the Cleburne Railroaders baseball team .
Growth continues along the Chisholm Trail Parkway , a toll road connecting Cleburne and Fort Worth , and that growth is heading Cleburne ’ s way . Cleburne sits prepared for that growth , Easdon said , thanks to years of planning by city officials and leaders .
The challenge now , Cleburne Mayor Scott Cain said , is ensure that Cleburne grows while at the same time retaining it ’ s sense of character and small-town feel .
“ On that I thank our staff but more importantly the private sector that ’ s driving our economy and putting Cleburne on the map as the No . 1 place to live , work and play ,” Cain said .
