A breakthrough in so-called “wonder” materials has set the stage for the next wave of technology trends. Wearable tech has already exploded into the market, but these new materials have allowed more devices to become flexible, highly efficient, and much smaller. Bringing flexibility into gadget design will allow for more objects to be fitted with sensors that allow them to be part of the Internet of Things (IoT), a network of communication between smart devices. ClearWorld’s already flexible solar panels are part of the IoT and allow for creative applications such as smart parking, increased security with remote camera monitoring, and infrastructure for public WiFi expansion These new materials are comprised of multiple stacked layers of 2D materials and are known as 'heterostructures'. They create highly efficient devices with ultrafast electrical charge. .
