Highway Management Bylaw
At their regular September 27 meeting, Council passed Bylaw 1018/16 – a new
Highway Management bylaw that links
several County policies, including: Road
Use for Industrial/Commercial Truck Hauls
Policy; Road Weights Control Policy; and
Permitting of Road Allowances Policy into a
single document - thereby providing further
clarity.

Along with linking road-related policies,
the new Highway Management Bylaw eliminates a list of regulatory bylaws for individual road signs as this new bylaw manages road
signs through the use of mapping.
The new Highway Management Bylaw also
provides a detailed list of scheduled fees and
specified penalties, streamlining processes
and increasing productivity.
