UAP appoints sales
manager for Scotland
UAP Limited has appointed John Gunn as
its Sales Area Manager for Scotland to help
grow its presence in the country.
John, who is based in Greenock, will
be developing business for UAP and its
retail brand MAX6MUM SECURITY® in
Scotland.
Having worked in the fenestration industry
for eight years and with builders’ merchants
prior to that, John is the perfect choice to grow
UAP’s presence in Scotland.

John Tennant has been
appointed Production Manager
for Glazerite Windows Limited,
with immediate effect.
With a proven track record in
industry, John joins Glazerite
from Northshore Yachts in
Sussex. Prior to this he worked
for various companies, including
the Whiteline Group, where he
was the Operations Director
overseeing production, purchasing
and transport.
Glazerite has experienced
exceptional growth these past few
years and all signs are pointing
towards this trend continuing
throughout 2014 and beyond.
John will be responsible for
the main production facility at
the company’s head office in
Wellingborough.
John, who has relocated from
Haywards Heath, West Sussex,
has been in the production
industry for over 20 years. While
working at Boulton & Paul he
was a part of the production
management team producing on
average 20,000 windows a week
- at the time it was the largest
joinery company in Europe.
His senior position with
Glazerite will complement the
existing team and says Glazerite
Director, Jason Thompson: “His
experience and professionalism
will be tremendous assets to the
company and will strengthen
Glazerite as a whole.”

AVOCET INVESTS
TO BE THE BEST
The Jain family has invested a further
£2.1million in Avocet Hardware
– taking the total invested since
it bought the Brighouse-based
company out of administration in
February 2012 to £10.6million.
This latest investment is aimed
at ensuring stock levels across
the company’s door and
window, ABS high security
locks, and builder hardware
divisions are high enough to
ensure complete customer
satisfaction when it comes
to product availability and
delivery.
