FLAMSTEAD
GROUP BUYS
WEGOMA GB
The Flamstead Group, owners of the
Liniar brand of windows, doors and
conservatory roofs, has acquired the
assets of Wegoma GB Ltd. The company
will be merged with its own machinery
sales division to form a new subsidiary
company, Wegoma Machinery Sales
Ltd.
Gary Mayer is transferring to run the
new business from Wegoma GB as MD
alongside co-directors Roger Hartshorn,
Dave Watts and Fenya Mayer. Liniar has
been working with Wegoma for the last
18 months to develop the Supercut 5 and
Supercut 6 machine and cutting centres
along with Wegomas proven range of
welders and fabrication machinery.
Roger Hartshorn, Flamstead Group MD
comments: “Wegoma is a well-established,
trusted brand, so it made sense for us to
work with them on the Supercut project.
“It was a natural progression to purchase
Wegoma – with Liniar’s resources we can
take the business forward, give a better
service and provide the industry with a
different approach by having machines
available from stock.”
The Wegoma machines will be displayed
at Hall 1, Stand 180; Supercut will be
demonstrated on the Liniar Stand, Hall 3,
Stand 350.

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF)
- now looking forward to Counter Terror
Expo at London Olympia, 29-30 April
– says it is pleased with its successes at
several recent industry events.
Being an integral part of the UK Pavilion
and working in collaboration for the first
time with the fensterbau frontale organisers,
the GGF had a very good show with over
100 visitors of note coming on the GGF
stand.
GGF Member Edgetech’s new initiative
proved a great success at Coventry’s Ricoh
Arena with over 600 guests covering a wide
spectrum of considerations from technical
to commercial through to political and
environmental. As well as promoting the
event, the GGF’s Nigel Rees was among
speakers during the open forum.
Nigel commented, “It was a pleasure to
speak at this important debate and explain
how triple glazing fits with the current
European and British Standards. It was
also important to show the audience how
the standards process works and how the
GGF is involved at the highest level with
Governments in the UK and Europe. I’d
like to thank Edgetech and Andy Jones for
organising a very productive and worthwhile
event.”
All those attending the GGF Counter Terror
workshops will receive (on the day), a free
copy of The Good Practice Guide to Safety
and Security Glazing on Stand No: F16
