About Blusafe
After a long family history in the traditional lock industry , being the new generation , we saw an opportunity to use technology to improve an age-old product . Whilst traditional locks are familiar , secure and simple , they still present problems . Too often people lose their key , fumble for it at the door in the rain or have family / guests locked out when they aren ’ t home . We thought there had to be a better way . That ’ s why we set out to bring door locks into the 21st century .
We initially developed a solution for British multi-point locks , however this opened our eyes to other possibilities . We began expanding our product range to include ; an internal door handle using both fingerprints and a key ( great for HMO / student landlords ), and a fingerprint padlock .
We focused on building a smart lock with true keyless functionality . The obvious solution was to use fingerprint technology , because after all , you can ’ t lose your finger down the side of the car seat … We also wanted to have multiple options of unlocking the door , so we added key cards , a keypad and an app . We also added the ability to share a temporary or permanent e-Key so they can unlock the door too .
And , we developed a WiFi hub , connecting door locks to the smart home and allowing it to be controlled from wherever you are . Control a lock through Alexa and Google Assistant , or even have lights , heating and music come on when the door is unlocked .
