DOORS&WINDOWS
A window for any project
includes the Heritage and Ultimate Rose,
Charisma Rose is a simpler version of these,
designed to offer the classic VS look.
Fabricated using Eurocell profile it features
a tilt-in facility for easy cleaning and astragal
bars to enhance the classic sliding sash window
appearance. It can achieve SBD accreditation
and a high energy rating, both big selling
points to consumers and major factors
when specifying windows for new-build
applications.
And with prices starting from £165,
Charisma Rose is ideal if you’re tendering
for jobs against another competitively-priced
vertical sliding window.
Roseview Windows is a name associated
with high-end products suited towards the
heritage and conservation area.
But despite its work in gaining acceptance
of its uPVC sliding sash windows into these
sectors, business development manager
Richard Burrells is keen to point out there’s
more to Roseview than meets the eye:
“Our work in championing high-end uPVC
as an alternative to timber is important,
but we can offer a window for any project
from top of the range sash windows to more
affordable, modern options.”
The modern alternative is the Charisma
Rose. Part of the Rose Collection, which also
NEW ‘LEGACY’ FROM PYRAMID WINDOWS
East Anglia-based trade
fabricator Pyramid Windows
has designed and launched a
new product to help installers
capitalise on the demand for
traditional looking windows
and doors.
‘Legacy’ is a ‘timber-look’
PVC-u window manufactured
with the Synseal Synerjy system.
It has a mechanically-jointed
outer-frame and is coloured
with Pyramid’s exclusive Burnt
Oak finish, a shade developed
in-house.
Other authentic features include
hand finished astragal bars, a
dummy stay and monkey tail
handles. If the consumer wants
contemporary hardware, there is
an option to include a tear drop
handle in brushed aluminium.
The window may look oldfashioned, Legacy has truly
cutting edge security with Yale
shootbolt locks and a SAC bolt
included. Another important
feature is the Egress Easi-clean
Mega Hinge. This uses a ratchet
and pin system so it will not
‘pop-out’ – meaning fewer service
call-outs for the installer.
The window is designed to last a
lifetime – once fitted, it will leave
a Legacy. It’s a powerful brand
and one that will help Pyramid’s
trade customers communicate the
benefits to the homeowner.

FRAMEXPRESS RAISES
THE BAR AGAIN
Georgian-style windows have become
increasingly popular in recent years with
both planners and homeowners looking to
improve rather than move. Consequently,
frameXpress has seen a steady increase in
demand as customers have grasped the added
facet this gives their business.
The astragal bars can be fitted to any
product to give them the traditional Georgian
appearance of individual panes.
An Oxfordshire renovation project recently
benefited from astragal bar installation, where
planners had stipulated that all replacement

windows must be sympathetic to the
original appearance of the period home. The
homeowners wanted windows with black
exteriors and white interiors.
The astragal bars were securely fitted using
clips wrapped around the sealed units while
centre clips incorporated a special adhesive that
sticks to the glass in all weathers.
frameXpress astragal bar options are available
in white or woodgrain foils and are suitable for
domestic and commercial applications.
frameXpress offers premium quality standards
and products, manufacturing a broad range of
windows, doors and conservatories in Profile
22 FS70 system. ‘A’ rated products with SBD
accreditations are offered as standard with a
wide choice of coloured foils.
