trophy at last year’s G Awards,
which took place at a glamorous
presentation ceremony held in
London’s Hilton Park Lane hotel.

More than 650 of the window,
door and conservatory industry’s
great and good looked on during
the presentation as the FIT Show
team took to the stage, invited by

O’Briain.
“We are all so proud to win
this award in front of so many
of the people that made it
possible,” exclaimed Matthew
Glover, co-organiser of The
FIT Show. “I have attended the
G Awards many times but to
actually win one of the categories
is wonderful. I am delighted
that our fantastic team has been
recognised.”
The G Awards trophy was the
second The FIT Show won last
year, also being presented with the
prestigious ‘Trade Show Launch
of the Year’ by the Association of
Event Organisers (AEO).
WINNER OF COMMERCIAL
PROJECT OF THE YEAR
NSG Group, manufacturer of Pilkington
glass in the UK, scooped Commercial
Project of the Year at the G13 Awards –
one of the main highlights in the glazing
industry’s year.
The award recognised the striking project for
The Box Moor Trust, a charitable organisation
in Hertfordshire dedicated to the upkeep of
open spaces. The group were rewarded for
their work with installers, Vitrine Systems, to
modernise Box Moor’s new centre, where they
added not just more space, but more light to
the Centre too.
Phil Savage, Commercial Contracts Sales
Manager for the NSG Group, explains, “We
worked very closely with Vitrine Systems
and the architects to help create a modern
structure, a light, airy space where visitors and
staff could relax and make the most of their
inspiring surroundings. We were obviously
delighted to have all this work underscored by
the project winning Commercial Project of the
Year at the G13 Awards.”
Pilkington Planar™ was installed in
conjunction with Pilkington Suncool™ and
Pilkington Optifloat™ for the atrium of the
new building. The toughened product enables
architects to construct entire structures out of
glass.

In business, being recognised by your peers is the ultimate accolade
and reaffirms all the hard work that has been put in by everyone
involved in the company. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, a
little pat on the back goes a long way.
And that’s what happened to Lister Trade Frames of Stoke on Trent at
the National G-Awards in London. Recognising the cream of the crop
in the Fenestration Industry, Listers have been a common fixture of the
awards having been winners and finalists for the last 9 years running.
2013 however brought rare treats to the table as Listers were finalists in
a record five categories, a feat never achieved before by any company.
“To be finalists in 5 categories is an incredible honour,” s
