£ 440k machinery investment builds on success

RENOWNED TILE ROOF manufacturer SupaLite has invested around £ 400K in a new machining centre at its headquarters in Preston , building on its continued success .
SupaLite is the manufacturer behind the revolutionary SupaLite tiled roof system for conservatories and orangeries , which is in high demand thanks to its lightweight design , exceptional thermal performance and ease of installation .
The new bespoke cutting centre will double SupaLite ’ s production capacity at their factory to more than 200 roofs per week .
It is the next part of the company ’ s ambitious growth plan , and Dave Watters , Managing Director of SupaLite , said : “ This major investment will take SupaLite to the next level in our manufacturing growth plan . At SupaLite we are committed to providing not only the highest quality tiled roofs but supplying them in a timely manner , and the new machining centre will help us achieve this . This new level of capacity will allow us to hit our orders and provide what our customers want quicker as demand increases for our roofs .”
The centre , due to be commissioned in August , means that SupaLite can now offer part fabricated roofs to customers , which is great news for smaller fabricators who struggle with storage .
The company is also looking at further investment later this year on ply cutting and insulation cutting which will give SupaLite a state-of-the-art production facility .
After the recent appointment of five new staff and the unveiling of a new Roadshow Display Vehicle , the new machining centre is the latest investment SupaLite have made to keep at the forefront of the industry .

Emmegi ( UK ) has seen sales of trollies and handling equipment grow dramatically this year as customers increasingly recognise that there is more to the company than just its range of cutting and machining centres and saws .

TROLLEY SALES ARE UP by 90 % against the same period in 2017 and sales of its most popular ACCA XL assembly benches are up by more than 35 %.
Managing Director Ian Latimer thinks that customers are choosing the Emmegi solutions because they want a one stop shop service from a supplier they know and trust .
He says : “ We have always had a wide range of trollies , benches and support equipment in our range and there ’ s probably at least one piece of our handling equipment in most of our customers ’ factories .
“ Recently though , we ’ ve seen demand really spike from customers who are ordering them in bulk from us and standardising on our kit . I think this is largely because we have such a big choice available , on very short lead times and at competitive prices .
“ Customers obviously like the product quality and service they get from us on machines and we make it easy for them to deal with one supplier for all of the associated ancillary equipment as well .”
Customers behind the spike in demand include the likes of Made for Trade , Unique Window Systems , Express Bi- Folds , Garrard Windows and Bennett Architectural , all of whom have previously bought Emmegi machines .
The Emmegi ancillary range includes assembly and work benches for windows , doors and curtain walling frames and for hardware and gaskets . It also features stacking , racking and transportation trolleys and specialist equipment for gasket rolling and unwinding .
