INVESTMENT AND INTEGRATION TRANSFORMATION
» » HAVING RECENTLY
announced plans for a £1m
investment boost, the Glazerite
UK Group Ltd has completed the
second phase of its programme,
this time at its Glazerite East
plant.
The VEKA fabricator has
welcomed new equipment at
the Peterborough-based plant,
including a brand new Haffner
SMR 5 head inline welding
machine, with the ability to
fabricate 800 frames per week by
the end of this year.
Glazerite acquired the site
in February 2016 and has
completely transformed its
technical capabilities, aligning it
with its other facilities in Bolton
and Wellingborough. The results
have been huge, with Glazerite
East hugely increasing its output,
and shortening its lead-time from
three weeks to just five days.
Glazerite East has also
recently installed a £100k Stuga
cutting and machining centre,
which was relocated from the
group’s Northwest division,
as well as four new vertical
tables, four door line tables,
and a corner cleaner. With the
addition of the new machinery,
the plant has been completely
reconfigured to optimise
efficiencies and improve
performance across all areas.

commercial aluminium fabricator in Braintree,
Essex, has just invested in a new Spring S4 4
Axis Machining Centre, a TT405 Double Mitre
Saw and a HP114 Corner Crimping Machine

grow, we needed to invest in further high-
quality fabrication machinery to maintain the
quality and turnaround time we’re known for.
We turned to Haffner Murat for excellent
value, highest quality and reliability.”
The Spring S4 4 Axis Machining Centre is
a 4-Axis CNC machining centre with moving

The SMR-4 welder is up
to four times faster than
conventional welders and can
carry out three square welding,
which equates to one extra frame
per cycle. As well as features
to speed up production and
reduce lead times, the SMR-4
can improve product quality and
cut waste. It is factory set each
time and has automatic transom
fences, automatic corner fences
and automatic transom and
mullion alignment.
Phoenix Windows has been
fabricating PVC-U products for
the trade and DIY markets for over
25 years; manufacturing Rehau’s
706 system alongside a wide range
of window and door products.
