Free CPD training for door
manufacturers and installers

Professional Development (CPD) training
from technical experts at HOPPE (UK).
Covering a range of industry topics and
issues, the CPD sessions are designed to help
manufacturers and installers to keep staff up to
date with industry standards, door hardware
specification requirements and product
information.
HOPPE (UK) offers the following CPD
presentations:
IRONMONGERY FOR FIRE
AND ESCAPE DOORS
This CPD looks at the role of fire and
escape doors, the appropriate hardware to use,
maintenance and inspection of ironmongery
on fire and escape doors, and the consequences
of ignoring risk.
A SPECIFIER’S GUIDE TO
ACCESS CONTROL
A beginner’s guide looking at access control
product types, the requirements for a simple
access control package and integrating these
with other existing systems, such as fire and
security. building control and the Secured by Design
initiative.
All training is delivered in-house by one
of HOPPE (UK)’s technical experts, giving
staff the opportunity to ask any questions and
become fully familiar with a range of door
hardware products.

SNEAK PEEK AT FUTURE PRODUCTS

actuators, had a sneak peek at
some new proucts for next year
after a successful trip to Denmark
courtesy of the company’s major
supplier WindowMaster.
The Gloucestershire-based firm
were invited to a Global Partner
Meeting in Copenhagen by Danish
manufacturer WindowMaster, who
supply sustainable indoor climate
solutions and smoke ventilation
solutions for all types of buildings.
Almost 80 people from 30-40
partners from all over the world
attended the inspiring event,
which took place in the centre of
Copenhagen in Industriens Hus,
and they were able to learn about
WindowMaster’s products and
plans for the future.
Sam Yiend, Director of Teal
Products, commented: “The
day was a wonderful experience,
and being WindowMaster’s key
distributor in the UK it was
important that we were there.
“It was invaluable to learn
about the new actuators and
control systems that will be
available in the future, and it was
great to spend a day networking
and learning how other partners
operate in their markets.”
The day also featured a general
session by WindowMaster
CEO Erik Boyter and it was
rounded off with a panel debate.
Afterwards, partners were
invited on a boat trip around
Copenhagen canals followed by
live jazz and dinner in Industriens
Hus’ rooftop restaurant
