Systems recently supplied its market
leading products for a new waterfront
restaurant, the Octopus Bar and Restaurant
on the south side of Havelet Bay in St Peter
Port, Guernsey.
The restaurant boasts ‘one of the best
views in Guernsey’ towards Herm, Jethou
and Sark and a varied international menu
including locally freshly sourced seafood.
CDW Systems supplied curtain walling
and wide-span sliding doors for the project,
which were installed by Stainless Steel
Fabrications.
Sapa’s Elegance 52 is a high-performance
curtain walling system designed to meet
the demands of modern architecture. With
a 52mm width, Elegance 52 offers slim
sightlines while maintaining the necessary
strength requirements.
The project also incorporated Visoglide
Plus sliding doors from Smarts. The system
is ideal for maximising light and space in
commercial projects, and delivers superior
thermal performance.

» » SWISSPACER IS THE ‘PRESENTING
Sponsor’ for around-the-world sailor, Matthias
Eigenmann, a participant of the ‘Clipper
Round the World’ sailing regatta. The race is
described as one of the toughest endurance
tests known, with all participants being
amateur sailors. Guided by a professional
skipper, the team will sail eight legs, and cover
40,000 nautical miles across six oceans.
Matthias will sail on the Greenings race
team for 11 months covering Uruguay, South
Africa, Australia, China, the USA and more.
The regatta departed from Albert Dock,
Liverpool on Sunday 20th August.
Matthias, who is 36 years old, has grown up
sailing around Lake Constance, Zurich, which
is next to SWISSPACER’s global headquarters.
He has a passion for environmental causes,
which is shared by SWISSPACER. Money
raised from sponsorship will be donated to
‘The Ocean Cleanup’ project, which is focused
on developing new technologies to catch
plastic and waste found in the ocean.

» » A LOCAL CRICKET CLUB IN
Yorkshire has once again benefited from
Morley Glass & Glazing’s support, with the
business stepping in to help finance a new
crease cover for the team.
Mirfield Parish Cavaliers Cricket currently
operates a 1st XI and A Team in the Central
Yorkshire Cricket League, as well as being
members of the Heavy Woollen District Junior
Cricket league where it runs U9, U11, U13 &
U15 sides.

sponsorship, the club’s home ground on
Wellhouse Lane in Mirfield has benefited from
a crease cover to help preserve the pitch during
inclement weather.
