SOLID POLYCARBONATE THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE GEORGIAN WIRED GLASS
»»
WHEN A SYMPATHETIC glazing refurbishment is required, but the modern day standards of health and safety are essential, Twinfix GW Polycarbonate™ from Birchwood Trading strikes the perfect balance between old and new.
This innovative product is a 6mm thick, dimpled surface, solid polycarbonate glazing sheet that mimics

the appearance of Georgian wired glass. It is ideal for listed buildings and heritage sites.
Its lightweight( just 7.2kg / m ²) and impact resistance are a key advantage and make it safer to transport and install than traditional Georgian wired glass. Being virtual unbreakable negates future costly broken glazing replacement. Retaining its properties at both high and low temperatures, + 100 ° C to
|
-40 ° C, helps to eliminate the maintenance costs involved in replacing broken glazing. It can also withstand natural forces like severe wind, hail, and snow storms as well as building movement.
Samples are available on request. Sheets can be purchased in standard sizes from the Birchwood Trading website. A cut-to-size service is also offered.

SECOND SOLID ROOF SOLUTION OFFER
»»
CONSERVATORY OUTLET HAS incorporated the UltraRoof 380 system into its ever increasing product remit. Featuring as the latest in a series of additions, UltraRoof 380 will become the second product line in the fabricator’ s solid roof range.
After its launch at this year’ s FIT Show, Conservatory Outlet’ s retail partners were among the first in the industry to view the new lightweight tiled roof system up-close at an exclusive event held at the end of May, raising significant interest from all quarters of the Conservatory Outlet network.
The UltraRoof 380, slate-covered, solid roof system can achieve a U-value as low as 0.16W / m ² K, but can also facilitate the inclusion of large rectangular glass panels, as an alternative to roof windows. Watertight in a matter of hours, the system is fitter-friendly and never requires structural ties bars.
To generate momentum and enquiries for its installer-customers, Conservatory Outlet will be involved in a six month, joint-advertising venture in Real Homes and Homebuilding & Renovating magazines.
Greg Kane, Conservatory Outlet Joint Managing Director, said:“ We are pleased to be able to offer the choice of two solid roof systems with distinctly different features and benefits, but which are placed at similar price points.”
Foam roofline range launched

LINIAR IS DELIGHTED TO announce the launch of its new roofline range. Made from the same lead-free ingredients as the rest of the innovative Liniar range, this latest launch means installers can now offer customers everything they need for a quality, fully matching installation.
The comprehensive range incorporates capping and replacement fascias, both foam and hollow soffits, a full set of associated trims and mouldings, ventilation options and dry verge – with the launch offering plenty of key advantages to the installer.
At 20mm thick, instead of the customary 16mm, Liniar’ s fascia boards will provide greater strength, and similar in price. Longer return legs and extra cover on mouldings will assist ease of fitting.
The protective tape on Liniar’ s boards is pre-marked and lined, making it easy to find the centre line for the rafter end. Should the board need cutting, installers are guaranteed a straight cut with no need to peel back the tape, mark the board and risk scratching.
The range of boards and trims will be available from stock in the same choice of foiled colours as the Liniar sculptured window suite, with special colours and finishes also being available. All mouldings will be foiled to match. www. liniar. co. uk / supplies
