G18AWARDS
TRAILBLAZING SYSTEMS TEAM MAKES SHORTLIST
» » EPWIN WINDOWS SYSTEMS HAS
been confirmed as a finalist for the G18
Awards. Gerald Allen, Marketing Manager,
said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted in
the new Sustainability Initiative of the Year
category. As a business, Epwin Window
Systems has a clear commitment towards
sustainability and was one of the first businesses
to apply and achieve certification for the
VinylPlus label across our product range.”
Epwin Window Systems was one of the
first companies to achieve VinylPlus Product
Label, but this is just the latest example of
the company’s trail-blazing commitment to
sustainability. Epwin Window Systems is
also certified to BRE standard BES 6001.
The standard describes a framework for the
organisational governance, supply chain
management, and environmental and
social aspects that must be addressed in
order to ensure the responsible sourcing of
construction products.
In 2017 the company won the BPF Energy
Award for the facility BPF/F00150 within the
Climate Change Agreement, in recognition
of Epwin Window Systems’ considerable
commitment to energy reduction throughout
its Telford extrusion plant. It also won the
Sustainable Business Award from Business
Environmental Support Scheme Telford
(BESST) 2017, for Carbon and Energy
Management.
