Factory 2050 is revolutionary

factories in the world – and the business has
now been shortlisted in the Commercial
Project of the Year category of the G16
awards.
The shortlisting recognises the pivotal role
Saint-Gobain Glass’ technical knowledge and
advanced product range played in the success
of the revolutionary, multifaceted glazed
Factory 2050.
The factory is described as the UK’s first
fully reconfigurable assembly and component
manufacturing facility for collaborative
aerospace research.
The 7,000sqm circular building is
constructed largely from high performance
glazing to showcase the advanced
manufacturing technologies inside the
Sheffield Business Park facility.
Helping to create a multi-comfort solution,
the finished glazing creates light, comfortable
interior spaces resulting in an enhanced office
space in which people can work comfortably
and productively.

Roseview, as it’s been nominated
for not one but two G Awards.
The respected firm, which has
built an impressive reputation as
a leading manufacturer of PVCu
vertical-sliding sash windows, has
been shortlisted for the coveted
Fabricator of the Year award.

and maintain them.
