Super Insulated Façade
»»Schueco is launching its
Schueco FWS 35 PD Panorama Design façade
system.
This innovative new aluminium façade has
a uniquely slim face-width of just 35mm,
yet the SI version is officially certified by the
Passive House Institute with a U-value of 0.79
W/m2K. Visually very attractive, the system is
ideally suited for low-rise, high-end residential
and commercial projects.
A choice of two levels of insulation is
offered – HI (highly insulated) or SI (superinsulated) – enabling the Schueco FWS 35
PD façade to offer real performance flexibility
according to specification needs.
Importantly, Schueco AWS windows,
including those with TipTronic automated
operation, can be integrated easily where
necessary, for ventilation. Alternatively,
Schueco AWS 114 SG.SI slimline outwardopening top-hung windows or parallelopening windows can be fitted.
The Schueco FWS 35 PD façade system
can accommodate double and triple glazed
units from 22mm to 50mm thick with
weights up to 250kg per transom. Also
available is a heavy duty version that can carry
up to 400kg.
To complete the product’s comprehensive
performance characteristics, a burglar
resistance class to EN 1627 RC2 can be
achieved which also meets the requirements
of PAS 24: 2012.

Choices’ customer, Crown Tree Investments at its
Royale Regents showroom in Leamington Spa.
The 4.3m wide x 2.1m high PremiDoor
88 takes centre stage, with an anthracite
grey grained foil on white finish and for
homeowners looking at bi-folding doors, the
PremiDoor 88 is a genuine alternative and one
that is capable of spanning 6.5m with a height
of 2.9m in just two sashes.
Kevin Warner, head of sales and marketing
for Kömmerling commented: “The PremiDoor
88 sets the standard for doors in wide span

to take market share from bi-folding doors.
There’s a wealth of colours and finishes to
choose from, incredible technical performance
and a greater passage of light.”
Jason Wilder, co-director of CWG Choices
concluded: “We’re now actively promoting
the PremiDoor 88 to our customers as an
alternative to a bi-folding door. While Crown
Tree is the first to display the product off,
there is already considerable interest from
both installation companies and style savvy
consumers.”
