A Complete Traditional Look
Yale Door and Window Solutions has launched the Yale
LOCKMASTER® KeyTurn, a multi-point lock that on the
face of the door looks like a traditional Yale rim latch lock.
»»Designed to complement a
wide variety of furniture for both contemporary
and traditional door styles, the LOCKMASTER®
KeyTurn features all the benefits of a multi-point
lock, with a cylinder that can be positioned at
both chest and waist height.
Paul Atkinson, Sales Director of Yale Door
and Window Solutions, comments:
“I often hear people asking for ‘a modern
multi-point lock that looks like a Yale
Lock’ and we can now offer this. The new
LOCKMASTER® KeyTurn visually replicates
the Yale rim latch that was widely used on all
timber doors for many years, with the cylinder
set within in a finger pull escutcheon.
The different gearbox heights offered by
the LOCKMASTER ® KeyTurn are designed
to complement two distinct styles in the
composite door market. Chest height with
finger pull escutcheon for an authentic ‘period
feature’ look on classical doors, and waist height
plain escutcheon for contemporary European
style doors with architectural bar handles.
Compatible with euro profile cylinders, this
new lock is a welcome addition to Lockmaster,
Britain’s best selling multi-point door locking
system.
Locks and strikers come non-handed as
standard so there is no need for left and
right-handed products, which will benefit Yale’s
fabricator and installer partners with lower
stock holding inventory.
The LOCKMASTER® KeyTurn has a Yale
branded stainless steel faceplate, tested to 240
hours of natural salt spray, to deliver extensive
corrosion resistance, and is backed by Yale’s 10
year mechanical guarantee.

Gearing Up For Growth
»»Specialist aluminium
fabricator, the Bi-fold Network, has invested
in new machinery and employed two new
fabricators following an increase in demand
for its hugely popular product, the market
leading Smart Visofold 1000.
The new bi-fold line will be operational
early 2016 and will allow the company to scale
up and reinforce its position as one of the
UK’s leading aluminium suppliers.
Managing director Allan Ensor comments:
“We’ve had a very strong 2015 so far, and have
invested in new specialist machinery to allow
us to continue our growth trajectory well into

the future. We pride ourselves on our fast
turnaround, and the investment means we
can continue to offer a stunning product on
a short lead time even as demand increases.
We already supply hundreds of installers and
I’m looking forward to growing our customer
base and helping more installers succeed in the
profitable bi-folding door market.”
The Bi-fold Network was set up in 2013,
and offers installers a turnkey bi-fold service
that includes full technical support and on-site
assistance if needed.
“The company was formed because we
recognised that the bi-fold market was
booming, but installers needed more support
from their suppliers,” Allan explains. “We’re
more than just a bi-fold supplier, we’re a
business partner to our customers, so if an
installer encounters a problem on-site, or
needs additional technical information, the
expert team at the Bi-fold Network are always
on hand to offer a solution. I believe it’s this
level of personal service that has enabled us to
build such strong customer relationships over
the years.”
