£250k of commercial contracts in two months

Target Windows has secured
over £250k of commercial
contracts in just two months,
including five new build sites
for Birmingham City Council,
totalling over £80k.
The firm’s largest area of
growth since 2008 has been in
the commercial sector; with the
more recent helping to secure
employment for the current
team, as well as us taking on an
additional member of staff.
Director Guy Basnett said:
“We now have a large bank of
commercial clients coming to us
in the design stages of a project,
such as a large care home, and
asking us queries like which glass
is best for an acoustic value they
have to reach, and we provide
solutions to the problem.

tower blocks and the construction of a new
low-rise apartment block to create 224
one and two-bedroom independent living
apartments in Nottingham.

Contractor Select Windows is an award-

A subcontractor with Willmott Dixon the
company was invited to tender for a contract
to fabricate and install windows and doors
as part of an £11m project; Nottingham
City Homes’ Building a Better Nottingham
programme, which is designed to transform
people’s lives across the city by providing
energy efficient homes that can dramatically
reduce fuel bills for residents.
The windows were manufactured from
Profile 22’s award-winning 70mm Optima
system that delivers cost-effective thermal
efficiency thanks to features such as a
6-chambered outerframe and 5-chambered
sash and unique innovations such as additional
centre seals. Alongside Optima windows,
Select Windows also used PatioMaster sliding

picturesque town of Ledbury.

samples supplied by fabricator,
The Glazerite UK Group Ltd, the
business has relocated to larger
premises next door to their original
site; six times the size.
The new showroom has given
Shane and his 11-strong team the
opportunity to showcase a huge
range of products to his customers,
including windows and doors from
the likes of VEKA, DoorCo, The
Residence Collection, Solidor and
Guardian Warm Roof.
Shane adds: “Having a much
larger showroom makes a huge

difference as it gives prospective
customers the opportunity
to see and feel the products,
rather than rely on brochures
or the limited range samples I
could take on sales visits. I can
honestly say the vast majority
of customers don’t leave the

an open day at the showroom, on
Bye Street, Ledbury, on Saturday
11th May 2019, in conjunction
with a coffee morning fundraising
event for MacMillan Cancer
