INSTALLERSUPPORT
WIN-WIN FOR DEVELOPERS AND THE TRADE
»»
ASTRASEAL’ S APPROVED Commercial Installer Network is simple. The fast-growing firm is assembling a nationwide network of installation companies able to tackle contracts valued at anything from £ 50k- £ 500k. Astraseal provides the members of that network with commercial leads. It does all the preparation work and organisation itself, with its in-house Business Development Managers sorting through the tenders, contacting developers, working up specifications and drawing up quotes. Then, once all the preparation work has been completed, the supply side of the project is handed over to the ACIN Member, who is then introduced to the client.
All members have to do themselves is complete the tender with their installation costs, submit it to the client, and Astraseal will help close the sale. A point to note; at no stage are ACIN members asked or expected to switch over to Astraseal for their other everyday work if they prefer not to.
For installers, the system offers five key benefits, among others, as Astraseal marketing manager Zac Nedimovic explains:“ Firstly, our approved installers will get access to commercial discount rates on all products supplied through the network.
Second, they’ ll get access to commercial discounts through all products purchased through Eurocell branches nationwide. Third, they’ ll get paid for skip facilities available for each project.
Fourth, they’ ll get access to Astraseal’ s industry-renowned technical expertise, including support from surveyors, installation managers, and obviously the backing of the BDM team to help win the business. And finally, and perhaps most valuable of all – access to projects and orders that would be otherwise unobtainable, delivered to you with much of the hard work already processed.”
But the ACIN doesn’ t just benefit installers – in fact, it can prove an excellent way of saving time, money and effort for commercial developers themselves, too.
Managing commercial developments is hugely complex work – made even more of a headache by the need to liaise with multiple points of contact. To those project managers, ACIN offers a massively streamlined, cost-effective solution.
“ Through ACIN, we provide commercial developers with highly experienced, and, just as importantly, local installers. That means no costly hotel bills or travel expenses – and it allows you to support the local economy too.”

2017 REBRAND KICKS OFF WITH NEW MEMBER ID CARD
FENSA, the Government authorised self-certification scheme for windows and doors installers launches the new FENSA Member ID Card.
»»
FOLLOWING ENGAGEMENT with FENSA members and consumer groups alike, it was found that both were keen for there to be a more credible ID card. Installers wanted to demonstrate their trustworthiness and reliability, with customers wanting greater peace of mind.
Commenting, Jon Vanstone, Director of FENSA, said:“ It is a really exciting time for FENSA and the new card marks the first of a number of initiatives and changes in 2017 that will deliver more value to members and help them have better engagement with their customers.
The modern and fresh design of the new FENSA Card helps members to promote their businesses to customers up and down the country. Members are positioned more effectively, with both the FENSA and business logos on the card, increasing genuine credibility to their operation in the eyes of the customer. Added to this, the card protects members more effectively with new enhanced security features, such as a hologram, to prevent rogue traders developing counterfeit cards. Checking who is on your doorstep is vital particularly when dealing with vulnerable people.”
