FIT SHOW 2016
CRAFTED WITH
STRENGTH,
SECURITY AND
AUTHENTICITY
Among the main talking
points at The FIT Show 2016
was the Masterdor Craftsman
door from the Synseal Group.
»»Chief Executive Officer of Synseal, David
Leng, introduced the product when he gave
a special launch presentation at the group’s
stand, with a champagne reception for the
industry’s trade press and other visitors.
The Masterdor is a precision engineered
timber door which, says Synseal, has had
the problems associated with pure wood
‘designed out.’ It offers strength, security and
authentic craftsmanship. The double rebate
doors also offer big benefits from both the
homeowner’s and installer’s point of view double rebate doors are known to be easier
to install and adjust on-site compared to
single rebate doors.
The double rebate feature means doors are
fully sealed so that there is better protection
against water penetration and an improved
weather performance.
There are 21 styles in the whole range so
the Craftsman will fit in with any environment.
The Contemporary range alone has nine
styles and uses routed grooves to give the
impression of slotted boards – creating a
designer look, while the Traditional panels
and mouldings offer 13 more ‘timeless’
designs. There are also 28 glass designs and
three hardware packages.
There are no problems with twisting planks
due to extremes of weather or moisture and
no peeling or crazing of paint when boards
swell or contract. Twenty-one colours are
offered and every door leaves the workshop
with two water based layers of colour, two of
undercoat and a primer. David Leng said of
the Craftsman: “We expect to sign up 50 or
60 showrooms for this product.”
Synseal Group had the largest stand at
The FIT Show and launched several new
products. They included the WarmCore
aluminium window system, and a sneak
preview of the new thermally broken Lantern
roof. There is already enthusiasm from
WarmCore window fabricator launch partners
pre-signed to Synseal, and the business
believes it will be a real game changer
product.
The windows come with multi-point
locking and internal beading and are backed
by a ten-year guarantee. They are available
as a casement or tilt and turn window with a
flush sash option, and WarmCore comes in a
choice of two powder coated colours so the
windows can be different colours on each
side.
David Leng said: “The windows are 25%
more thermally efficient than competing
products. We have had tremendous interest
while we have been at the show and at the
last count 20 fabricators signed up.”
The group also offers recently launched
products such as the Celsius Solid Roof.
This warm and quick fitting roofing solution
is for new build and retrofit projects and
uses timber components with no aluminium
skeleton. It uses 100% recycled Synseal
Envirotiles for an impressive and modernlooking external decorative finish.
Shafiq Sharif, Synseal’s head of group
marketing, said the group was actively
raising its profile and group operations had
grown significantly. He said: “We started
setting up our stand on Saturday and we
have been pleased with it. It gave visitors
the chance to get fully updated and appraise
the sheer breadth and quality of Synseal’s
product range.”
