Celebrating 20th
anniversary with
AGM to remember!
Industry-leading installer support
organisation, Network VEKA, has
celebrated another fantastic AGM
and glittering awards ceremony
in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
»»AROUND 250 PEOPLE
attended the organisation’s
annual event in this, its 20th
year.
Before sharing an
entertaining video looking
back over 20 years of Network
VEKA milestones. John
Ogilvie, Network VEKA’s MD,
praised the membership for
all they’ve achieved in the 12
months since the last AGM,
“You installed over £66m of
product, taking the cumulative
total since 1996 to over
£950m.
“At £3700, average installed
values are the highest for eight
years and still overall customer
satisfaction rates remain around
97%. The Network VEKA
Academy has seen more than
70 people gain an NVQ in
either installation or surveying
proving that Network VEKA
members surpass any industry
‘minimum standards’.
“A number of members
have already achieved the BSI
kitemark for the installation of
windows and doors through
Network VEKA’s association
with BSI. In summary, 2015
was yet another year of fantastic
achievements, firsts and
innovations!”
Awards were announced
by John Ogilvie. Overall
National Winner was Frames
Conservatories Direct, for the
second year in a row! John
congratulated the team for
retaining the ‘top’ title for the
second consecutive year, after
winning ‘Best Newcomer’ only
the year prior.
Glazerite was also there to
support Prestige in closing the sale,
as Peter explained, “We had never
done anything in this colour before
so had nothing to show him but
the swatch card, but Glazerite came
across with some bigger sample
material to show the customer.”
SEALING THE DEAL
»»IT’S TOO EASY IN THIS
business for installers and
fabricators to fall into a rut and
offer pretty much the same old
styles and colours as everyone else.
However, the rewards are there
for anyone taking the trouble to
offer something different, as the
award-winning Glazerite installer,
Prestige Glazing Services, can
gladly testify.
“A customer came in looking
for something different to replace
his cream coloured windows,”
said Peter Fossey, domestic
sales manager at Bedford-based
Prestige. “We showed him the
VEKA Variations colour range
and he fell for the ‘Siena’ foil
immediately.”
Siena is not a common colour
in the UK, despite being very
much in demand around Europe
and beyond. But that was no
problem for Prestige as the dark,
smoky grain not only features in
the VEKA Variations portfolio
but has been available from
Glazerite Windows Ltd since the
range was launched.
