Michelle, who has worked the phones at the Brighouse company for 22-years, was promoted last month and the first task in her new role was to train up four new members of the telesales team. “When I started at Avocet in the early 90’s I never for one minute thought I’d still be working here 22-years later.” said Michelle. “But when you have a job that is rewarding, varied and interesting, and where you are valued extremely highly by your colleagues in other departments and the owners of the business, then why would you leave?” The nine-strong team, which boasts over 100-years of industry experience at Avocet alone, operat es across both outgoing and incoming calls. It is tasked with everything from generating new appointments for the field sales team, through to developing existing business, and on to ensuring key accounts are kept informed on all company and product developments and have an industry expert on-call whenever they need them. »»Saint-Gobain Glass UK has launched SGG LIVE, a powerful new online tool to empower users of its products with a wealth of technical, marketing and specification support. Especially when that project changes the lives of so many people. Lister Trade Frames of Stoke on Trent, along with other local businesses, joined forces to assist a group of keen Crown Green Bowlers convert their dilapidated clubhouse into a functional building. Middleport Bowling Club had long since lost the financial support of the local council and was being self-funded by the patrons, many of whom were pensioners. Word soon spread of the bowling clubs plight and Listers, in conjunction with the likes of local construction companies Novus and Seddons, joined the cause to help renovate the clubhouse free of charge. Middleport Bowling Club now has a new clubhouse to be proud of.
