4. IT’ S NOT EUROCELL Although Liniar’ s CEO Roger Hartshorn was instrumental in the creation of the Eurocell business and brand, it’ s safe to say the Liniar system is totally different.
Having the experience of launching a PVCu system in a previous life meant that Roger and his team knew all the challenges brought by modern legislation – and they were able to use this experience to incorporate the latest technology and market needs in a brand new, state of the art system.
By creating the Liniar system from scratch, they could build in patented features such as Liniar’ s unique glazing flipper, bubble gasket and bespoke glazing platform – enabling windows to achieve A ++ ratings with ease and at the same time enabling fabricators to increase their output.
5. LINIAR HAS OUTDOOR PRODUCTS TOO
If you’ ve only heard of Liniar windows and doors, you’ d be forgiven for not realising the company also has a range of outdoor products, including decking and fencing systems.
The multi-chambered PVCu used in the fencing and balustrades is surprisingly strong, and can be foiled for a realistic finish. Already popular with holiday home owners all over the UK, PVCu decking and fencing is becoming increasingly popular for domestic and landscaping use, thanks to its low maintenance properties.
6. THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY IS A LINIAR CUSTOMER
All of the waste PVCu generated by the Liniar factory is recycled and made into other non-window products such as piling, which is used in a wide variety of applications. Plastic piling is much easier to transport and install than its steel counterpart, so it’ s ideal for the Environment Agency and similar organisations to use in rural and moorland areas. It forms a watertight barrier, so it’ s ideal for protecting flood plains, as well as being used for bank retention in ponds, lakes and streams all over the UK.
Liniar’ s log pile has an attractive wood-effect appearance and is popular with landscapers and developers for multi-level terrain where an attractive finish is required.
7. HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE
They say a healthy body creates a healthy mind – and the extra-curricular activities of the team at Liniar may help to explain some of the innovation emanating from the systems house!
A team of 17 completed the grueling Wolf Run last Spring; in addition to the various half and full marathon runners, cyclists and triathletes that fund raise regularly for great causes. And with two Liniar marketing team members taking part in GM Fundraising’ s allfemale Paddle 2 Pedal in August this year, it’ s safe to say the Liniar team like a challenge!
