ALUK IS ATTENDING THE FIT SHOW 2017 for the very first time in the event’ s history. To mark the occasion the company has naturally pulled out all the stops. AluK will launch new products, host expert seminars with industry-leading speakers, and sponsor the famous Master Fitter Challenge.
The popularity and growth of aluminium fenestration over the past few years has been driven by aesthetics along with elements such as the material’ s durability, low maintenance and strength. These factors, as well as industry leading security, thermal and acoustic performance levels, have made it the product of choice for architects, property owners, developers and homeowners.
Market demand for slimmer sightlines, enhanced energy efficiency, more colour options as well as growth in the bi-fold and sliding doors segments are leading to more innovation in aluminium fenestration. AluK invests heavily in Research and Development to stay ahead of the curve, and will use its first ever FIT Show appearance to launch 4 brand new products. The latest product innovations include Infinium, a new premium Bi-folding door and Sliding door, and Veranda.
Infinium, AluK’ s new high-end aluminium sliding door system features exceptionally slim sightlines of 21mm and is designed with a maximum sash load of 400kg and a size of 3.5m high and 3m wide. Its innovative design provides end users with panoramic, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling views without compromising on crucial elements like energy efficiency. In fact, it has a U-values of 1.3 with double glazing. Infinium features an elegantly simple operation and fully concealed outer-frame and sash which effortlessly brings together indoor and outdoor living spaces.
AluK’ s new SC156 Sliding Door and its much anticipated innovative Bi-fold door will form part of a new premium range delivering slimmer sightlines and high performing thermal and acoustic elements. Driven by growing consumer interest in high quality frame materials, styles, features and colours, these two new products cater for the UK residential market which now accounts for over 50 percent of sales.
Another product to get excited about is the new AluK Pallazzo veranda system. As households increasingly look for ways to maximise their outdoor spaces, Pallazzo provides the ideal solution for those seeking a unique outdoor living feature such as an external roof, patio cover or stylish carport. The system has been expertly designed with a range of standard features as well as enhancement options such as a glass sliding door system and side walls to create a yearround indoor / outdoor living space.
AluK will also showcase its recently launched systems including the PAS 24 edition of its popular GT55 TB commercial door and screening system, a slimmer BSC94 Optio sliding door system, which features 45mm sightlines and its 58BW FC; a French casement window designed to mimic the heritage style and applications requiring an emergency egress to meet Building Regulations requirements.
Also at the show will be AluK’ s Optio range of 58mm and 70mm window systems, which cover residential, light-commercial and heritage applications. Ideal for both new builds and refurbishments, its residential products provide households with slimmer sightlines to increase the amount of natural light entering the home, as well as enhancing energy efficiency levels for lower heating bills. In light-commercial applications, the range meets various Building Regulations regarding safety and security to enable faster specification and installation. For the heritage style, AluK’ s Optio windows are designed to restore a building’ s traditional appearance and look, while delivering high performance to reduce heat loss, all elements that meet local building and planning conditions.
AluK’ s new‘ experts in aluminium’ campaign seeks to share their insights with the industry and help its partners grow their businesses. It all starts at the FIT Show with the exclusive Expert Zone on Stand Q10. A source of information for fabricators and installers, the exclusive space will provide insight to the aluminium fenestration industry through a series of seminars over the show’ s 3 days. There will also be a panel debate discussing‘ The state of the market’ as AluK seeks to advance the skills, knowledge and proficiency of its network.
